Escape to Lapland

Amidst the calm of a landscape covered with a thick blanket of snow and the crunching of the sled’s runners as it raced through the forest towards the dog breeders’ farm, with meals in a huge wooden tent around a central fire. Sessions in the sauna added some extra contrast to the experience. It also included a trip on a snow-scooter to the reindeer breeder’s farm, and instruction in driving a reindeer sled. There was a cruise aboard an ice-breaker on the frozen sea, followed by an evening in the fairy-tale décor of a castle constructed in snow and ice, with dinner in an igloo-restaurant.
